      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as the epidemiologist veterinary specialist and program manager for aquaculture and poultry programs
      - Develop disease control methods, testing protocols, and educational materials in collaboration with various organizations
      - Review laboratory results and work closely with the WI Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory
      - Provide training and outreach services in disease control to staff, veterinarians, and the public
      - Manage program initiatives and budgets independently while supporting veterinarians during disease outbreaks

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited college
      - Experience applying veterinary medicine principles, concepts, and techniques
      - Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, credentials to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Wisconsin
      - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
      - Possession of a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation for work purposes

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Advanced degree and/or certificate in aquaculture, poultry, epidemiology, or a related field
      - Practical field experience in aquaculture, poultry, epidemiology, or a similar area
      - Experience providing education and outreach to clients and the public in a professional setting
